We have been time-lapsing storms for 4 years now, but haven't been able to put them together in a film by ourselves because we never had the time to sit down and learn the software to fully produce one on our own. Fortunately we have good friends who are videographers and they were kind enough to put together our first two films for us and though it was great to watch these films it still felt a little empty. The main reason being, we wanted total control of every aspect of the film in order to truly bring our vision to life.
Watching our time-lapse sequences is always fun and allows us to re-live the storm and the feelings we had while experience that storm, but it's the process of producing the film and putting all those sequences together to music that really brings them to life and tells a complete story. That is what we have been missing!
With that, we finally took the time to teach ourselves the software and have produced our first time-lapse film and this is the result ... "Tempest". The footage is from the past 4 years storm chasing in the Great Plains and in Arizona during monsoon season. Countless hours and tens-of-thousands of miles driven went into the production of this film and we are extremely happy with the results! We hope you enjoy it!
